Principal Social Worker Chana
I work with couples and individuals from different walks of life, different ages and with very diverse experiences all needing emotional and / or practical help on their fertility journey. During thirty years of practising as a Social worker and Psychotherapist, my specialist training in trauma, anxiety, depression and loss, have had a huge impact on my professional practice and are the bedrock of my work at Chana - too often our clients are in need of these specialties with deep emotional challenges to navigate through. My experience in multi-disciplinary teams within the NHS, Social Services, Jewish Social services and at Chana with our Medical Advisory Panel and Scientific Team has enabled me to look at a clients’ bigger picture; to investigate the many facets of a client’s story to empower them to find the best resolution. As leader of our team at Chana, I am very proud of how we seamlessly interweave medical, practical, emotional and financial support, constantly ensuring that all these four facets are central to our work. We place the client and their individual needs at the axis for our specialised, professional help at all times working with them on their journey and ultimately IY”H it is a huge reward seeing them have a pregnancy and at the end a beautiful baby. I am fully accredited and a registered member with the following National Governing Bodies: British Association of Social Workers , (BASW) – MSc, CQSW (LSE), British Association of Counselling Psychotherapists, (BACP) – MBACP, British Association of Infertility Counsellors, (BICA) – AMBICA, Internal Family Systems Therapy – Level three practitioner.
