How We Can Help
Who We Help
Chana supports Jewish couples and individuals* struggling with all fertility challenges, during complex paths to parenthood, or who may have early concerns about their reproductive health.
We provide a bespoke package of services at every stage of your fertility journey.
*as halachically recognised and married, where relevant, by the Office of the Chief Rabbi. We have a wealth of knowledge and if you fall outside of our criteria, we will signpost you for support.
How We Help
-
A strictly confidential helpline
A qualified and experienced support worker will answer your call and can offer information and support over the phone for all fertility related concerns. The helpline is also the gateway to all Chana’s services and can direct you any type of support you might need, be it emotional, medical or financial.
-
Halachic Support
For a Jewish couple, infertility is not just a matter of medicine. It also involves complex questions of Halacha (Jewish law), which interact with a couple’s medical situation in often subtle and intricate ways. In a similar way to the medical facts of a couple’s journey, confronting these questions can often feel confusing and daunting for people as they try to navigate their way through them. It can be hard to know which questions need asking, how to ask them, and who will be able to answer them from a position of both Halachic and medical understanding.
-
An expert Medical Advisory Panel
Meet our Chana Medical Advisory Panel of specialist consultants and medical practitioners, sensitive to the centrality of halocho (Jewish law) in your treatment choices. They can also offer expert guidance on second opinions and identifying the top relevant specialists in specific cases.
-
Confidential one-to-one and couples counselling
Many individuals and couples dealing with fertility issues find it useful to get support from a counsellor who can help them look at the issues they are facing.
-
Educational Sessions
Chana offers regular educational workshops to support Chosson and Kalloh teachers in their work. These sessions focus mainly on information regarding emotional and intimacy issues, and reproductive health issues.
-
Webinars with fertility experts
Live webinars are presented by Chana featuring some of the UK's leading clinicians and professionals in the infertility world. This is free for the public and questions can be asked interactively or submitted in advance. Your anonymity is assured.
